【Hocha Classroom - Chestnuts dos and don’ts】
Chestnuts contain starch, protein, and lipid that strengthen our spleens, protect our stomach and intestines. People of all ages are welcome to have it as well.
But do NOT eat chestnuts with beef, lamb, or duck
Chestnuts prevail over beef, lamb, and duck.
If eaten together, you may experience vomit, sick stomachs, or worse, food poisoning.
Chestnuts, contrarily, are good with chicken and red dates.
Chestnuts strengthen spleens while chicken nourishes spleens and promote blood production. Red dates and chestnuts can strengthen our spleens, replenish blood, and calm our nerves. Great for those having kidney deficiency or back pain.
